Eden and Martinez

While speaking in an interview with Spanish radio station, Cadena Ser, Belgium head coach, Roberto Martinez, said that Eden Hazard should consider leaving Chelsea in order to further his career.

"Players need new challenges and new projects. Perhaps it’s a good time for Chelsea and for Eden to split. I would be very surprised if Chelsea didn’t have big offers for him right now," Martinez said.

However, the Stamford Bridge management are optimistic that neither the Real Madrid nor FC Barcelona will meet their £200million valuation of their prize asset, who still has 24-months left on his present deal with Chelsea.

"It could be the best time [for Hazard] to try something different. He is a player who has maturity and a lot of leadership. His play is based on talent.

"Hazard could carry a new project anywhere in the world. He is at the best moment of his career. He could fit in any team in the world," he added.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are willing to let Thibaut Courtois leave Stamford Bridge but have told Eden Hazard that he is not for sale, according to Sky Sports La Liga expert, Guillem Balague.

Reports in Belgian newspaper, Het Laatste Nieuws suggest Real Madrid have offered €170m (£150m) for Hazard and €55m (£48.5m) for Courtois.

However, Balague believes no bid will be forthcoming from Real unless Chelsea change their mind and Hazard is given permission to leave.

Protest: Workers shut ExxonMobil Hq for sacking 860 Nigerian staffers

The Lagos headquarters of ExxonMobil has been shut down by the company’s workers’ unions over the sacking of 860 spy police without entitlement.

The workers besieged the office of the oil company, protesting the sacking of workers, mainly Nigerians, on Tuesday in Lagos.

The protesters accused the company of sacking the 860 Nigerian workers most of whom had worked with the company for over 22 years without regards for the rule of law.

Mr Rasak Obe, the Chairman of ExxonMobil Branch of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), told NAN that the protest was to express the disaffection of the workers with the management.

Obe said the leadership and members of the union were shocked by the mass sack of security personnel who had faithfully served the company for many years.

He said the management should immediately reinstate the employees of the security department sacked and pay all entitlements due to them.

The union leader also urged the management to immediately reinstate the 16 employees purportedly sacked in Dec. 2016 in a similar fashion.

He also demanded the immediate release and repatriation of over 20 expatriate personnel in the security department who had been engaged and kept in defiance of extant Nigerian laws and security directives.

According to him, this was an unfortunate situation which the Supreme Court of Nigeria had corrected with its April 20, 2018 judgment of 508 personnel.

“This underscored the scale of error in company’s assessment of the reality after the Supreme Court judgment.

“There are tens more who by the judgment are active employees of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited.

“To say the least, this wholesale sack unambiguously conveys management’s disdain for the highest court of the country and mocks its ruling on subject.

Obe said the company was quick to indiscriminately sack Nigerians and replace them with expatriates, taking jobs Nigerians have successfully performed over the decades.

H said expatriate security personnel, many of whom were ex-service men, were currently engaged in the security department against the directives of National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) and the Nigerian Defence Ministry.

“The cost of keeping one of the over 20 expatriate security personnel in Nigeria would pay one hundred of the Nigerian security personnel currently being repressed.

“This impunity has been raised with HR and Law since February 2018, but the company continues to ignore our advice.

Mr Ogechukwu Udeagha, the Manager, Media and Communications of ExxonMobil confirmed the protest.

“Following the recent judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Mobil Producing Nigeria would provide compensation packages for affected personnel.

“And it is offering Human Resource, consulting services to assist with employment opportunities with third parties.

“MPN typically retains security services through third parties who are best positioned to provide these core competencies.

“We thank these individuals for their prior service in supporting the safety and security of our operations in Nigeria,” Mr Udeagha said.

Reuben Abati

One of the usual features on Nigerian social media is the nostalgic passion with which Nigerians often distribute pictures of the old Nigeria Airways and how that company once considered one of the best in Africa was mismanaged and made to fail.

Established in 1958, it was liquidated in 2003. I have seen pictures of old tickets, images of Nigeria Airways pilots and crew, and for anyone who travelled with Nigeria Airways, you cannot but be moved to pity. Pity yes, because while Nigeria, the most populated country in Africa can no longer manage an airline of its own, the African skies are dominated by such airlines as Ethiopian airlines, Air Maroc, Kenya Airways, and South African airlines. Rwanda has a functional airline too. There is also Air Namibia.

The assets of the Nigeria Airways of old have not only been liquidated; most of its former staffs are wasting away. In the aviation sector, Nigeria has the biggest market in Africa, and has signed Bilateral Air Service Agreements with over 70 countries, but it lacks the capacity to compete. Even the few private airlines operating within the country are barely struggling to survive.

The agony of the Nigerian air traveller is not something to be imagined: we all face a daily grind of disappointment from airlines that cancel flights at will and offer no explanation. When you complain, the airlines simply tell you that things are very hard. So, if things are hard, are they supposed to be so shabby?

The other month, the door of an aircraft on the domestic route flew off as the plane landed. That has not stopped Nigerians from patronizing that same airline. Most of the country’s airports are also poorly equipped and poorly maintained. The air-conditioning rarely works; the toilets are a nightmare. Aviation is big business but more than that, it is a major catalyst for economic growth and development. If there is any sector that is in urgent need of rescue, the Nigerian aviation sector is that sector.

It is therefore a thing of interest that the Federal Government says it is now determined to revitalize the aviation sector and bring back Nigeria Airways or Air Nigeria as it has been referred to. This much was disclosed when the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika received a certificate of no objection, an Outline Business Case certificate of compliance it is called, from the Infrastructure Concession and Regulatory Commission (ICRC).

Tomorrow July 18, in London, Minister Sirika is launching a Road Show to attract investors, and formally unveil the name, the logo, the colour scheme and the structure of the national carrier It all sounds so exciting and I am sure many Nigerians who agonise daily over how other African countries seem to succeed where we keep failing would like to see Nigeria run its own national airline and create opportunities for the business sector. The only problem that I see is that there is so much that is opaque in the proposals that have been put forward so far by Mr. Sirika. Being a former pilot, the Minister is definitely not a tyro in the business, but as he engages both the local and international audience, there are many questions that must be addressed. I intend to raise a few of these in this preliminary comment.

The Ministry of Transportation and ICRC, the regulatory body, do not seem to be on the same page. The ICRC and similar institutions involved may face challenges with their own reputation. The Outline Business Case Certificate by the ICRC seems to agree only in principle that a national carrier can be established. It goes further to give specific conditions under which this may be done, and the Minister himself has quoted some of these conditions which the Ministry under his watch seems to be breaching already. Having noted that the business case and market study submitted to it are “in substantial compliance with the ICRC Act, 2005 and the National Policy on Public Private Partnership”, the ICRC avers: “This certificate is granted on the condition that the Federal Government demonstrates her commitment to leverage private sector capital and expertise towards the establishment of the National Carrier through the provision of an upfront grant/Viability Gap Funding (VGF) to fund aircraft acquisition/start-up capital. The FGN also agrees to zero contribution to airline management decisions and zero management control by the government. Any attempt to impose government control over the management of the Airline invalidates this certificate and the entire process”.

It goes further: “In view of the fact that the mitigating conditions for the project may change over time, this Certificate is valid for 12 months from the date indicated below. This certificate is therefore issued to enable the Ministry commence an international open competitive bidding process to procure a world-class strategic investor to manage, operate, maintain, and invest in the National Carrier.” The ICRC provides further information on its website with regard to other aviation sector projects including the development of an aerotropolis, the establishment of a maintenance, repair and overhaul centre (MRO) and the development of cargo/agro-allied airport terminals.

Except the role of the infrastructure concession regulatory body is a mere formality, I do not see any evidence that the Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Ministry of Transportation (Aviation) is keen about compliance with the strict provisions outlined in the Certificate of No Objection. The Road Show scheduled for Farnborough, London, tomorrow, does not sound like “an open competitive bidding”; it is a launch. Do you do a roadshow for a transaction that does not yet exist, or for a company that is not yet in existence? Minister Sirika and whoever his transaction advisers may be have already determined that the proposed airline would cost the Nigeria government $8.8 million. How was that arrived at? He has also talked about a take-off grant of $300 million to purchase 5 aircraft to be delivered by December 19? There certainly must be some known best practices in the setting up of a national carrier. Whatever business model, that we are following does not look like the very best. Who starts an airline by first buying aircraft at full cost? Hadi Sirika reportedly met with officials of Boeing, the aircraft maker in May. Would it not be better to lease the proposed five aircraft from Boeing and enter into a partnership agreement with them, with a private investor in charge of the new airline?

The ICRC says the Federal Government must not operate or control the proposed airline. This is precisely what Hadi Sirika and his team are already doing. And if they say no, and insist that the private sector is already involved in the project, perhaps Mr. Sirika will disclose this tomorrow in London! But let him also disclose basic information about when the tender was placed for an “open competitive bidding.”

And if there was no tender, who is that person who may have appropriated the power to determine the private sector partners for the national carrier? And when Mr. Sirika talks about a N300 million for the purchase of five aircraft to be delivered by December 2018, he should be asked where that money is coming from? Is it provided for in the 2018 budget? And if so, under what line entry, or will the money come through virement? The National Assembly should raise these questions. Nobody should use taxpayer’s funds to buy some end-of-life aircraft and claim that they are setting up an airline for Nigerians.

I also find it curious that all the relevant persons and agencies that should be involved in the planning of something as important as a national airline have been quiet. Did the National Economic Council headed by the Vice-President discuss the matter for example? Is the Ministry of National Planning aware of it? Is the proposed airline part of the Economic Recovery Growth Plan (ERGP), and what is the framework in place to ensure fairness and transparency? Is the substantive Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi even involved in this at all; his studied silence is odd. Or abi the thing no concern am?

If Nigeria must have a national airline again, then we must get it right. This is my point. The ICRC is obviously insisting on private sector control and management, because it was government inefficiency that killed off the old Nigeria Airways. The airline became a gravy train for the big men in high places. They used the planes for their private purposes, including going for weekend parties in London at government expense. Directors of government agencies and departments travelled with the airline on free tickets. Nigeria Airways was supposed to provide a hub for the aviation sector in Africa, its eventual mismanagement made that impossible. We must learn from history in order not to repeat it. Sirika says the proposed airline will take advantage of the African Single Air Transport Market. The Open Skies Agreement is part of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement – 44 countries signed up to it in Kigali in March. Nigeria wants to benefit from this agreement, but it is yet to make up its mind about the value of African integration and free trade. You see our people? “We want to buy aircraft, we want to buy aircraft…” That’s all I hear them saying as if an aircraft is a toddler’s toy.

I raise another poser: why do we even have to create a brand new national airline from the scratch. The Federal Government, through the Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) is already in possession of three airlines that are indebted to AMCON: Arik Air, Aero and whatever is left of Virgin Nigeria or Air Nigeria. AMCON’s mandate is to rescue these airlines and put them back on their feet. Can they not form the nucleus of the proposed national carrier; and turned, surviving assets and all, into one airline that Nigeria can brand for national purpose under the management of competent investors, and with government providing the needed oxygen? Would this not be more advisable than embarking on a new set of opaque transactions? Government can rescue moribund airlines such as the ones I have mentioned, encourage quality private sector participation, and just ensure a level playing field. A national airline that will be under the control of the Minister of Transportation in charge of Aviation, will sooner than later constitute itself into a threat to industry competitiveness.

What remains is a moral question. Whatever the Federal Government decides to do eventually, it would be most unfair to set up a new national carrier without resolving the lingering matter of the unpaid entitlements and benefits of the old Nigeria Airways staff. When that company crashed, many lives were destroyed. Some of the pilots ended up as taxi drivers; many of the crew had to go and learn new trade, a few got jobs with the new commercial airlines.

There was a time former Nigeria Airways staff formed a union and they used to carry placards to lament their fate and the injustice that they suffered. I don’t see those placards anymore; they have probably given up hope, and some of them may have died. Not to pay their entitlements – calculated at a total of N45 billion, and already approved for payment by the Federal Executive Council more than a year ago, would be an assault on their memory and an act of cruelty.

Chioma Ikejiani
Chioma Ikejiani, a Nigerian-Canadian citizen, is a real estate developer, motivational speaker, publisher and a TV host.

Ikejiani, whose elder sister, Prof Miriam Odinchezo Ikejiani-Clark was Minister of State, FCT, is also a breast cancer survivor.
In this interview, she went down memory lane on how she was able to weather her cancer storm, as well as how the youths can be more useful to themselves. Excerpts:
Haven practiced journalism in Canada for over a decade, how would you rate the profession in Nigeria?
It is difficult for me to answer that question. But I think Nigeria’s style of journalism is tough and bumpy. I think, we journalists in Nigeria need to work harder to garner more respect for our profession in Nigeria. I also think we still need money and effective training to make it more sustainable. I do the kind of Oprah Winfrey journalism where I bring out the positive side of people and not the investigative style.

When were you diagnosed of cancer?
I was diagnosed in June 2016, when I was having a great time working. My doctor called and I told him that I did my last mammograms two years ago and she encouraged me to go to a hospital. And I kept on thinking which hospital to go to in Nigeria. I had to find out who the medical doctors are, the right hospitals since my doctor is in Canada. I had to visit a friend at a Turkish hospital and when I saw the equipment and the professionalism of the doctors I decided to do my check up there. It was very normal medical checkup. I walked in and never thought about anything. And I don’t really have cancer in my family.
Though my step-sister had it, but I never thought that I could have it. So, I went and did the mammogram and discovered that I had being diagnosed with HER2 Positive breast cancer. We immediately had to take the lump out. I did all that in Nigeria because I did not prepare to travel out of the country. So, Nigeria saved me from cancer because for me, traveling out of the country meant that I was contributing to medical tourism. And I promised not to do that even though I am a Canadian citizen, which would have cost me nothing. That tells you how much I love Nigeria.
How did Nigeria save you from cancer?
I was diagnosed in Nigeria and I stayed back. The Nigerian hospital operated and took out the lump and because there was no working radiology equipment I was asked to travel to Canada, my adopted country, to get further treatment. It was while in Canada that I was put on chemotherapy and I was on Stage 4, which is very serious diagnosis. It was while I was in Canada that thinking of coming back to Nigeria to work saved my life. The energy of working in Nigeria, coming back home and contributing was the drive that kept me alive. I read the Bible, prayed to God to give me the will to survive and made a covenant with God. Nigeria’s spirituality guided my recovery. I finished chemotherapy and came back to Nigeria and continued to take a maintenance drug from Roche Pharmaceutical available from National Hospital. So, I aam able to live a normal life and make my contribution to Nigeria. I truly am grateful to God for blessing me to return to Nigeria.
How were you able to cope with the finances?
When I came to Nigeria I worked. And instead of taking the money out, I left the money in and invested it in the Federal Government bond that was paying beautiful percentages back then in 2014. So, that investment yielded a lot of money that I could afford to go to a private hospital and look after myself. At the time of my diagnosis, I developed a relationship with the Turkish Hospital and I did not approach any government hospital because my focus was to fight the cancer, get well and see how to deal with being diagnosed with cancer. In fact, I didn’t even think about it.
Now that it has been successfully done, how do you feel?
I feel amazing. I have completely changed everything; like my diet. I have to exercise. Unfortunately, after I survived the operation, Nigerian hospitals did not, at that time, have the radiology equipment that I needed. So, I had to travel to Canada. And when I went there, it was scary and the cancer was at Stage 4, which is the last stage. And the doctors told me that they were not sure if it was going to work.
I had to start all over again by going through chemotherapy, but I never got sick at all. While taking chemotherapy, I was walking and jogging which was shocking for my oncologist. Even at that, I thought of what I was going to do after that. Because I needed to pay for my bills, I think what happens to a lot of people when they go through the trauma of cancer is that they get so scared and think life is over. They don’t know how to get over the notion that ‘I am going to die.’ But death was not an option for me.
When my oncologist said that I was fit to go back to Nigeria, I was excited because I needed to work. He advised me to take care of my affairs because that is what people do when they get diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. So, I had to think whether to stay back in Canada and get all the treatment I can get without paying for anything because I am a Canadian citizen or return to Nigeria. When I came back to Nigeria, life was difficult. I had to persuade my medical team to allow me get the drugs here which I was willing to pay.
What role did your family members play in all of these?
I took this health crisis as a project. I didn’t want to burden my family with it. So, it was something that I completely did on my own. I have always been dealing with crisis on my own. So, I sent everybody away. I needed to focus and get through the challenge. And part of that was also keeping my mind busy and this is where Nigeria came in. In fact, Nigeria saved me.

To survive cancer is a mindset. The vision of coming back here and working was also one of the things that kept me alive. For me, being there and thinking about what it is I was going to do and how I was going to do them kept my spirit alive because we have so much things to do here.
And if you have cancer and you don’t keep your mind busy you will have issues. I am not the type that solicits help and pity from people. So, Nigeria in that sense gave me another lease of life. Now, I can really fulfill my dreams. To be honest, I nearly died.
Since you are an entrepreneur, what would be your advice to young Nigerians who want to venture into business?
First of all, entrepreneurship is about identifying and solving a problem, which translates to wealth generation. I think Nigerians are the most incredible people in the world. In fact, we are the most populous black nation on earth. That is powerful! Unfortunately, to be a true entrepreneur in Nigeria is sweet, but tough! The youths in Nigeria are working in tough conditions because of the lack of infrastructural developments like light, access to financial assistance to develop their businesses. There are some youths that are driven by immediate gratification. I watched my father worked from 4:00a.m to 8:00p.m. So, I have always known from my young age that if I wanted anything I was going to work hard. They must have vision and be resolute. There is also a group of people who do not believe in Nigeria. Yes, we have our faults in terms of infrastructure deficit, but you know what, this is the time to take those opportunities.
What are these opportunities?
Nigerian youths are very innovative, there is this big move by the government to bring the youths into farming. They can tap into agriculture; fishery. They can go into painting business. There are so many homes and businesses that need to be fixed, painting can be a business that can grow. Land scapping is another business that can be developed with hard work. They can also venture in sports; football, table tennis, long tennis and so on. Look at Nollywood, despite the epileptic electricity, look at where it is today.
Tell us about your motivational speaking project. How is it going?
Before I came here I did a gender diversity conference at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Toronto, Canada. I wanted to showcase successful women who can share with us their stories of challenges and how they were able to surmount them. But my focus right now is on my television series to see how it will pan out. I am working with the presidency on this project. It is not easy. I am happy to inform you that we have started airing the series on the network service of NTA. I am so excited that we are progressing, and it has become a reality.
My show is called AMOI Unplugged. It is an interview style show, which will document strides attained so far in economic diversification in non-oil sectors (with special emphasis on the contributions of Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs. Some of their revelations are shocking.
It depends on who you ask. But when it comes to insurgency and using taxation as a compulsory tool for increasing generation of revenue, President Buhari has done well. But like every other president before him, there are areas he has shortcomings.
Do you think the All Progressive Congress (APC) will get the people’s mandate come 2019?
This is the first time in Nigeria that nobody knows what is going to happen. The era where people decide who is going to be in power is no more in the equation anymore because the voters are more enlightened, and they want their votes to count. This is going to be the first time we are going to have a larger number of Nigerians who are willing to vote. Let me take this opportunity to ask every Nigerian who has not registered for their voter card to go and get their voters’ card.

UNILAG gate

According to a report by The Nation, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos ( UNILAG ), Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe has urged Joy Nwanna, a former student, and blogger, Linda Ikeji, to appear before its s*xual harassment panel.

The VC who made the appeal Monday at the Senate chambers said the appearance of the duo would help the Prof Chioma Agonmo-led panel to unravel Joy’s allegations of s*xual harassment against Prof Segun Awonusi of the university’s English department.

He assured them of protection should they come forward.

In May, Linda Ikeji featured a post of semi-nude photographs of Awonusi sent by Nwanna who accused him and others in the university’s English department of s*xual harassment.

Nwanna was a student of the University between 2012/2013 and 2015/2016 academic sessions.

In investigating the matter, Prof Ogundipe said the five-member panel dug into contacts from Miss Nwanna’s student records and tried reaching out to her and her next of kin but met a brick wall.

“She gave us the name of the next of kin, Samuel Nwanna. His number is 08060971976. We called but it did not go through.

Her sponsor is as Idighisai Grace. The phone number is 07033543627. We got in touch but it was another person that responded.

The number with us concerning Joy Nwanna is 07035574747. It was one Yakubu Idris that picked the call.

This particular individual had different personalities. If she is ready to attend to the request of the panel, we will give her necessary cover.

And even Linda Ikeji, who is an alumnus, we are appealing that as a proud alumnus of this university, she should assist this university to get to the bottom of this issue so that the name of the University will not be ridiculed.

“The email address she used to getting across to our University man (Awonusi), we sent a mail but got no reply.”

The VC said Awonusi on his part had appeared before the panel twice.

“Awonusi submitted a written report; the committee looked at the report. He submitted the email she sent to him and appeared before the panel twice,” he said.

Unfortunately, Ogundipe said the panel got no response from any other students regarding the sexual harassment case.

“The panel called on other students who had information about the case or others to come forward but nobody came forward,” he said.

Ogundipe said the University would not rule out using law enforcement agencies to trace Nwanna.

The VC urged members of the public with relevant information on the victim to help the University with the investigation.

He said: “The alleged victim was identified as Miss Joy Nwanna by Prof Awonusi in the course of his interactions with the Panel. Student records of Miss Joy revealed that she was admitted into the Department of English as a direct entry student in the 2012/2013 session.

She graduated from the University in 2015/2016 academic session.

“All attempts made by the fact finding panel to contact Miss Nwanna by the telephone numbers in her student records and by e-mail proved abortive.

The panel also attempted to contact Linda Ikeji to convince the alleged victim to come forward but Linda Ikeji was not forthcoming in that regard.

“The preliminary investigations have raised certain questions and issues that need to be investigated further. Investigations are ongoing.

"The University is making efforts to confirm the authenticity or otherwise of the pictures that were released.

"The University also requires Miss Joy Nwanna to come forward to substantiate the allegations.

“The Press and general public are urged to assist the University by impressing it on Miss Joy Nwanna to come forward to substantiate her claim.

An appeal is also made to Linda Ikeji to convince the victim to appear before the panel and state her side of the story.

“The University assures both Miss Joy Nwanna and Linda Ikeji of necessary protection should they decide to come forward.”

Read the precautionary note shared by a banker on social media to caution the general public below:

"I work as a Support Staff for a commercial bank, and I have witnessed this New Crime case twice this week alone!!!

This fraud usually occurs at the ATM galleries. An 18-year-old customer and another 'rich' adult customer were victims and now they have their BVN flagged for live and have cases to answer with the Police, and with their bank accounts on Post-No-Debit.

This is how it works;

1. You walk to an ATM and someone (fraudster) approaches you. The person may show you wads of cash and claim they have exceeded their withdrawal limit of 150k, and that they still need more cash. They then plead to make a money transfer into your own bank account so that you can withdraw it for them.

2. The TROUBLING thing in this seemingly harmless random act of kindness is that transfers are usually made from STOLEN PHONES or HACKED BANK ACCOUNTS!!!

3. The person who owns the bank account which the money transfer was initiated from would report to his bank, and the bank would send out a circular to the recipient's bank with instructions to be carried out - which usually includes freezing your own account, BVN flagging, and on most times an order for your apprehension.

4. The next thing you would discover is that the next time you try to use your ATM card to withdraw, your transactions will be unsuccessful.

5. You then go to your bank and you get the news. You will thank your stars if there's no MEMO to apprehend you and hand you over to the Police immediately - for something you surely don't know about. You may be advised to quickly go get a Police Report.

The 18-year-old boy was sent to withdraw money from his bank account by his Mom. On getting to the ATM, he was held at gun point by the fraudsters and the money transfer was made, money withdrawn, and he was released. The money here was 40k. The boy was advised to report himself to the Police, and he should follow up with the bank.

The adult customer was approached respectfully by a fraudster brandishing loads of cash. So, he felt at ease and 'helped', not knowing he had been exposed for flagging. Here, the amount of money involved was 50k. The customer who has about 1 million naira in his bank account has now been undone because of 50k he knows nothing about. Now, there's a MEMO to have the customer arrested anytime he steps into any of the bank branches.

Who knows if the stolen phones were acquired via One Chance armed robbers or the bank transfer details were supplied by Serial Hackers? This is a serious criminal issue.

Remember, if you have your BVN flagged, then you are so done with any legal financial dealings.

DO NOT HELP ANYBODY AT THE ATM!!! NOT EVEN AN OLD FRIEND, CHURCH MEMBER OR WHATSOEVER. SAY NO TO STRANGERS WHO APPROACH YOU FOR ANY TRANSFER FOR WITHDRAWAL AT THE ATM.
