Angus T. Jones first appeared on TV when he was 10 as the loveable Jake in one of the biggest TV shows in the world, and now at the age of 22, Angus T Jones looks completely different.
The star – who is now believed to be a student – has been away from the spotlight in recent years. Angus, who once reportedly earned over £200,000 per episode, was spotted in Venice Beach in California on Monday, and looked unrecognisable from the little boy who played Jake Harper. The actor, who is reported to be studying at the University of Colorado, left the show in season 10 a couple of years ago after a rant about the hit show’s morality.
Back in 2012, Angus begged fans to stop watching the show as he adopted the teachings of ForeRunner Chronicles, an independent Christian ministry run by Christopher Hudson. MirrorUk reports he said:
“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I'm on Two and a Half Men and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth,” he said.
A lot of people don't like to think about how deceptive the enemy is. There's no playing around when it comes to eternity... People will see us and be like, ‘I can be a Christian and be on a show like Two and a Half Men.’
You can't. You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can't. I'm not okay with what I'm learning [about] what the Bible says and being on that television show. You go all or nothing.”
Last year, the show’s creator Chuck Lorre claimed that all was forgiven after Angus later apologised for his shocking comments.
Lorre told Variety last year:
“That’s all water under the bridge. He apologised shortly after (his comments). We’re on good terms. We reached out to him he was eager and excited to do it.
“It was like old times - except that he’s not eight years old any more. But we had so much fun with him all week.”
