This giant python which could injure or kill a small child was captured on camera by a cyclist in the Nerang National Park on Queensland's Gold Coast. The image was posted on Facebook and caused a stir among park-goers as it is clear the serpent is still digesting its prey.

Snake experts say it is hard
to tell from the picture exactly how big the snake is but say it could be from two metres to five metres. They do agree it definitely had a good feed of possum, kangaroo or even a dog inside it.
