The most romantic day of the year is approaching, and if you’re low on cash and can’t think of ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day without spending money, don’t even stress it! There are lots of fun, inexpensive ways to have a romantic time.

1. Dinner and a movie at home

Sharing a delicious meal and a great film with your guy is fun, simple and intimate, but restaurants and movie tickets can get pricey. Make your own romantic dinner and turn your living room into a movie theatre!

2. Writing a letter

Letter writing is one of the cheapest things to do for love, a hand written document and note are always very adorable and doesn't cost a dime.

3. Play board games

Playing board games like scrabble, chess and the likes is also very nice and romantic. A board game night is perfect for a free Valentine’s Day night in. Grab all your favorites and have some fun together doing something you don’t get to do all the time.

4. Spend the night playing games

Interesting games at night will make you have a fun filled night, and might even get you dreaming of the games you played, especially if it’s a love game.

5. Volunteer

Valentine doesn’t have to be about hanging out with friends, or spending lots of money you show some love by giving your time and spending Valentine’s Day volunteering with your other half.

6. Do some crazy things

If you have nothing to do on Valentine’s Day, why not do some crazy things? Dancing to music, experimenting with make-up and clothing, painting, singing, jumping and moving around all the furniture in your house are all fun options to consider. Laugh and smile as more as you can to feel better, look gorgeous and live longer.

7. Have indoor picnic

This is less effort than cooking a fancy dinner, picnic foods are simple and easy to prepare and even cheaper than going to eat out.

8. Go for adventure

Going for adventure might cost some money, but definitely not so much will be spent on it.

9. Go for exhibition

You can absorb a little culture when you go to places like the museum, shrine e.t.c.

10. Stay in bed

Been in bed can be cool, take a coffee and stay in bed
