The FRSC sector commander in the state, Umaru Ibrahim, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo on Friday, March 4.
Ibrahim also said the command recorded a total of 17 road traffic crashes across the state involving 111 persons which he attributed to drivers’ recklessness, overloading as well as excessive speed.
He said the accidents left nine people dead and 53 others injured adding that offenders educated by the command was 556.
He noted that the command produced no fewer than 865 driver’s license while rallies embarked on were 44. He noted that the FRSC would not spare violators of road traffic rules.
Similarly, a widowed mother of three, several students and others have reportedly lost their lives in traffic accidents in Lagos and Ondo states.
