Nollywood director Ifeanyi Azodo is at the helm of affairs in this production, with directing that basically cuts across his own ethnic and language barrier, which felt nothing short of amazing.
The storyline was all over the place but it does deliver when it comes to interpretation of roles by the actors. The cast such as Imoh who plays the role of Etebong as well as Eve Essien who plays Kokonma both puts out an amazing interpretation of their role in a movie that will crack your ribs or in this case, smash your ribs.
A relationship with Etebong and Kokoma the gateman and house girl of the house becomes wobbly when the owner of the house discovers the shapely body of Kokoma and starts having her for himself in the absence of everyone in the house. However, the house help doesn’t just stop at the gateman or her Oga but extends her services to an irritated son of the Boss.
This movie hits each scene with laughter, even with the complication it provides and worthy of note is the fact that it’s not for the entire family, as there are age restrictions. Calabar Maid is a hilarious Nigerian movie and is monies worth and wisely spent.
