The dead body of football player Patrick Ekeng was laid in repose at the Dinamo Stadium in Bucharest today, Friday May 13.


The footballer died after collapsing on the pitch on May 6 during a match between Dinamo and FC Viitorul, which ended in a 3-3 tie. Over 1,000 fans, team players, coaches, leaders came to pay final respect to Ekeng before the body is flown to Cameroon for burial.
Also at the ceremony was Deputy Chairman of Romania's Professional Football League (LPF) Robert Pongracz, who laid a wreath from LPF.
