Former Foreign Minister, Chief Ojo Maduekwe died yesterday. The cause of his death is at the moment unknown, but the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sen. Walid Jibril, confirmed the death.


Until his death, Maduekwe was the secretary of the Board.

He was born May 6, 1945 in Abia State, Nigeria and was appointed Foreign Minister of Nigeria on July 26, 2007 by President Umaru Yar’Adua.
