Accra Ghana is once again flooded. The flood began today due to a 6-hour rain fall which communication minister says may persist. No human causalities has been reported, by people at Kwame Nkrumah circle, Tema and areas surroundingit have lost some properties.

This comes barely a week after the Mayor of Accra, Alfred Oko Vanderpuije announced that 45 percent of work had been done by way of dredging major drains in the city.

A caution message has also being sent out by the Communications minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah saying “The Ghana Meteorological Agency has advised that the rains will continue for a while longer; hence the general public should avoid fast flowing water, move from lower ground to higher places if need be and call emergency lines- including 112 should the need arise”
