At least, four people have been left dead and many injured after a petrol tanker caught fire and exploded along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The incident which happened around 3:05pm on Saturday, caused heavy traffic on the road. According to an eyewitness identified as Maxwell Olusegun Adegbenro, many have been left in shock over the incident.

He wrote: "He said he will make millions a ransom for my life. Promised me his banner of love now I'm a witness".
 
"Just now, 3:05pm, Mobil Tanker conveying petrol caught fire along Lagos-Ibadan express way. My car was just opposite in top speed when the tanker exploded. Four persons has been declared dead but I live."
