Malvin Eshitera was allegedly killed by his friends

A  22-year-old Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology (JKUAT) in Juja area of Kenya mysteriously has mysteriously died after a quarrel with friends.

The young man identified as Malvin Eshitera was a second year student studying Information Technology before the incident.

NairobiNews reported that the deceased was visited by friends who attacked him and left him for the dead. The deceased’s brother, Benson Eshitera, who narrated the ordeal to Nairobi News said it was the police who were later called in and took his brother to the Kenyatta National Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to Mr Eshitera, his late brother had disagreed with his friends over a girl but had not reported any threats on his life.

“His phone had text messages from an ex-girlfriend over a bitter break up but there were no threat messages,” said Mr Eshitera.

However, the family of the deceased are demanding for justice as it said the results from a postmortem had been concealed from the family and the only information provided by the mortuary was that their kin had severe bleeding.

It was also gathered that the deceased brother revealed that one of the suspects who was arrested had a t-shirt with blood stains hidden in his hostel room, information that police did not disclose.

Kiambu County Commander James Mugera said the student had stolen a television set before he was attacked by friends.

Five students have already been arrested in connection with the death of their colleague and are still in police custody.
