Thank God the Ketu/Mile 12 clash between the Yorubas and the Hausas has been brought under control. It was a bloody clash, my people. I think the media did well for giving a downplayed reportage of the event so as not to cause incitement in the polity.
.
However, according to eye witness reports on Punch Newspapers Hausas motorcyclists were beaten up by hoodlums of Yoruba ethnic stock and shops in Mile 12 owned by Hausa traders were looted. I heard 3 people suspected to be Hausas were killed on Wednesday when the clash started.

.
It was reported that the Hausas in the area regrouped and came back for revenge. Burnt down no fewer than 15 houses, 40 vehicles, abducted 2 children, about 10 people were killed and several others were injured.

.
The Lagos state government has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in the conflict areas. Normalcy is returning thanks to presence of soldiers in the area.
.
Surprisingly, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), Oba of Lagos the one who threatened to drown Igbos in the lagoon (remember?) , Gani Adams of OPC have kept mum over the issue. Over the humiliation of their people.
.
Imagine it were "Omo Yibos" that dealt with the Yorubas the way the Hausas did.
.
Hmmm!
.
The gate of hell would have been let loose. They would have unleashed the dragons. Dragons would have been roaming and roaring in the streets now looking for anybody who looks igbotic. I pity those who are fair in complexion. The Oba would have been raining threats. The word "non indigenes" would have been used a million times. Gani Adams would have mobilised his foot soldiers to teach "Omo Yibos" a lesson. FFK would have written more than 10 inciting long essays on his page calling on his people to defend yoruba land by purging it of "awon Biafran".
.
The war would have been taken to Facebook and Twitter. Insults, tribal slurs would have been flying in all directions. I grew up in here so I know things work here and the predisposition of indigenous Lagosians.
.
I thank God Igbos wasn't involved in the matter. Oluwa, thank you oo! Maybe I should go to church this morning for thanksgiving. Lol. One love!
