Saudi authorities are blaming Africans for the Hajj stampede which killed at least 717 persons. 

The tragedy happened during the symbolic stoning of the devil, as pilgrims pushed each other and surged forward under Mina’s hot temperature.


The head of the Central Hajj Committee, Prince Khaled al-Faisal, blamed the stampede on "some pilgrims from African nationalities," Al-Jazeera reports.
