Several people were killed today during a firefight between the Nigerian Army and members of the Shitte Muslim sect, in Zaria, Kaduna.


The official Twitter account of the Nigerian Army said members of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky’s Shi’a Muslim group attempted to assassinate the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai.

Photos from the scene have now been released along with photos of the suspected convoy attackers.. VIEWER'S DISCRETION IS ADVISED
