The Lagos state government has moved towards tackling the issue of crime by lighting up the nook and cranny of the city.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos faced criticism when the state was riddled with crime especially on the road. In response, the governor donated security vehicles and equipment to security operatives. He inaugurated the Lagos light up project headed by the deputy governor, Oluranti Adebule which has received positive reactions from Lagosians.

The light up project is not only contributing to maintaining security in the state but also beautifying the area.
