The story of Olajumoke Orisagunna, the bread seller turned supermodel overnight, though is inspiring, not as touching and as well motivating to this beautiful graduate who fries and sell Akara in Abuja for a living. This enterprising young lady whose picture appears here has been selling Akara to pay her tuition fees and other stuffs from her year one in the citadel of higher learning, University of Abuja.
And now that she has graduated and her effort to secure a paying job before going for her compulsory National Youth Service Corp, NYSC was thwarted by economic crunch presently affecting the country, she decided to
continue with her frying and selling of Akara (Beans Cake) to put food on her table.
According to Mimi Ubini who posted on her page, “ I didn’t get her name but a source said he bought some Akara from her somewhere in Abuja a day after the last Valentine and the way she spoke made him develop interest, hence he decided to have a chat with her. He got to find out that she is a graduate of Accountancy from the University of Abuja.
This beautiful hardworking lady was also Vice President of the National Association of Anambra Students in the institution. She said she’s been selling Akara even before she entered the university and now she’s waiting for NYSC and she’s still doing it and very proud of her business.
I really love the fact that she’s doing what she loves with pride makes one want to turn her to superwoman. Kudos to you, my dear lady!”
I’m sure after reading this story, some good Samaritans will come to her aid and support her course in a manner that will affect her life and her generation.
