There might be calls from left, right and centre for Olajumoke Orisaguna to get some education given her new found fame as well as her fledgling modeling career.
In a recent piece, Rueben Abati, former media adviser to Goodluck Jonathan, gave his two cents on the bread seller turned model Olajumoke Orisaguna and the need for her to go back to school in order to launch a proper career.
This is a valid opinion by many standards, but critics will also argue that she can be just as great without any formal education. It remains to be seen where her story leads.
But while we do not know what the future holds, we can sure say Olajumoke is cruising and basking in the greatness of her popularity and its associated rewards.
In this Channels TV exclusive, she speaks in her local dialect but it does not stop the flow of things. She talked about how it’s felt since becoming popular, how much she didn’t see the fame coming and all.
She also harped on the elatedness from her mother and relatives who were jubilant for the most part, seeing as they never expected she could rise to where she is under the circumstance.
The 27-year-old mother of two recounted being happy to the point she could not imagine. Her mother, who obviously didn’t understand the exact situation, supported her in prayers even as she advised her to be responsible.
Olajumoke’s journey so far tells the story of persistence and drive. She left her village in Ire, Osun state, south-west Nigeria to sell bread in Lagos where she eventually hit fame and fortune along the way.
