President Muhammadu Buhari has ended his five-day vacation in London and is on his way to Nigeria.

According to a tweet by Sahara Reporters, the president left for Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital this afternoon from his London vacation residence.

While in London, President Buhari stayed at an apartment in Knightsbridge, but sent most of his aides back to Nigeria and that after series of meetings with his doctors over two days, he rested in the apartment until today.

Buhari will, barring any last minute changes, resume his foreign tour on February 24, as he is billed to commence a three-nation state visit to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

While in Saudi Arabia, he is expected to perform the Umrah, as well as visit Makka and Madina.

President Buhari, as informed by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, notified that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would perform the functions of the number one citizen.

The presidential aide said in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, Buhari had dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
