They are the honored few who have been nominated for a famous Oscars golden statuette.

And on Monday, the nominees for the 88th Academy Awards gathered together at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills for the annual Oscar lunch.  The ceremony is under three weeks away.

The awards has been surrounded in controversy because of the uproar over the scarcity of black talent in the contest.
