According to Express, Kelechi Nwakali’s agent has confirmed he has signed a five-year deal with Arsenal.

The source reports that the midfielder won player of the tournament and a representative from Nigeria’s Diamond Football Academy has confirmed the move is now a done deal.


The agent said: “Kelechi has signed a five-year deal with Arsenal. I won’t be able to mention the exact transfer fee but it is above £2million.”

Sports Day reports thatNwakali announced his completed move on Sunday to church goers at St. Mark’s Anglican Church,Eziobodo, during a thanksgiving service.The 17-year-old, who has been compared to Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira, said:  “I am going to Arsenal to work and try to be the best I can. With God anything is possible, to work hard to justify my claim for first team football”.
