But contrary to many people’s expectations, the youthful Ife first class king is spending his honeymoon in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Ooni of Ife who got married to Olori Wuraola on Saturday, March 12 embarked on honeymoon on Saturdayday, March 19 after his visit to the Sultan of Sokoto in Sokoto state.
The newly married couple got to the venue of their honeymoon by 12.10 am of March 20.
The Ooni and his new wife flew straight from Sokoto to Lagos where they headed to La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in the outskirt of Lagos.
Giving reasons for his staying in La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort for his honeymoon, the Ooni said he chose the Lagos based resort so as to boost the economy of the resort.
He charges other top dignitaries to patronize domestic tourist centres so as to encourage local investors in tourism sector.
The Ooni and his wife were not alone on their honeymoon trip as they had over 60 people in their honeymoon entourage. You can imagine how that will boost the economy of La Campagne Tropical Beach Resort.
