The alleged abductor of Ese Oruru, the 14-year-old girl from Bayelsa state, Yinusa Dahiru aka Yellow was on Tuesday, March 8, arraigned in court.
Yinusa Dahiru was arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa on a five count charge of abduction, illicit sex, unlawful carnal knowledge, among others.
Yinusa is alleged to have abducted Ese from her home in Bayelsa 8-months ago, and subsequently took her to his home in Kano, where he forcefully converted her to Islam and married her.
He is supposedly 25 years old, although there have been conflicting ages given. Media reports say Ese Oruru is 5 months pregnant.
She has since been reunited with her family.
