BIOGRAHY OF PA OLUSOLA ADEDOTUN AKANBI OTEGBADE 1940 – 2016
PA OLUSOLA ADEDOTUN AKANBI OTEGBADE was born in Kano on the 17th April, 1940 into the royal family of LATE PA J.M OTEGBADEof Ijaduade compoundOke Ago Owu, Abeokuta and LATE MADAM C. KOTEGBADE (NEE JINADU IDOWU)of Aradan compound Ikija Abeokuta.
He was the third child of his parents; he was greatly loved by his mother and siblings
EDUCATIONAL LIFE
PA OLUSOLA ADEDOTUN AKANBI OTEGBADE started his education at St. John Anglican Primary School, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He came to Lagos with his Uncle Late Pa E. AOtegbade of blessed memory to further his education at National High School, Ondo Street, EbutaMetta. He later obtained his Accountancy/Book- keeping Diploma viacorrespondence tertiary in London, UK.
CAREER
PA OLUSOLA ADEDOTUN AKANBI OTEGBADE startedhis working career with the Lagos State Government. He was a sports man and represented Nigeria at the second all African Games as a Cyclist. He won so many medals; after leaving the sporting activities, he became the E.O Accountant of Lagos State Sports Council from 1976 – 1978, he further became the Asst. Accountant in 1978 – 1980 and was promoted to Chief Accountant between 1984 – 1986 before he left the ministry.
Organizations he worked as an Accountant include;
• SETEMEC LTD: manufacturers of Gas Cylinders and LPG tanks, Chesebrough way Isolo Industrial Estate Lagos.1987 - 1990
• BYPASS EXPORTING AND IMPORTING COMPANYApapa Wharf Lagos. 1992 - 2002
He was the founder and C.E.O of Ijaduadecommercial Enterprises, Lagos.
CHIRSTIAN ACTIVITIES:PA OLUSOLA ADEDOTUN AKANBI OTEGBADE joined CPAN of St Pauls Anglican Church IsagatedoIsolo on the 29-7-90. He was elected as the society treasure on 17-2-90 up till his departure. He served as a counselor in the parish council 1993. He was a member of Harvest committee for many years
FAMILY LIFE
PA OLUSOLA ADEDOTUN AKANBI OTEGBADE met his wife Mrs. Sarah Amope Otegbade in the year 1976 at Isale Eko, Lagos Island, where she lived with her family. The marriage is blessed with wonderful Children:OluwafunmilolaAdetutuOmonori(Nee Otegbade), Olubola Otegbade Iseko, Oluwole Otegbade, Olusegun Otegbade and Adekunle Otegbade with grandchildren.
Daddy until his death was a loving husband, loving father and a super grandfather.
Daddy would call all his children on every first day of the month to release his blessings and also advise his wife and children to “listen well and do not be in a haste to reply’’ “let others see Christ in all you do” “Get angry and do not sin, Ma se jekiorunwobaibinu re”.
Adieu to a strong, pleasant, understanding Father, Sleep on our darling, sweet, caring Papa, Grandpa and Husband.
Till we meet at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ and path no more.

It was indeed a great ending for Pa Olusola Adedotun Otegbade. I pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and also God's blessing, comfort, and protection for the children and the rest of his family (Amen).
