At least eight gunmen 'shouting "Allahu Akbar"' have stormed a restaurant in Bangladesh taking a number of people hostage, including "several" foreigners.
One policeman has reportedly been killed and more wounded in an exchange of gunfire as officers surrounded the Holey Artisan restaurant in the upscale Gulshan area of Dhaka.
Police said "several foreigners" were among those being held inside the restaurant and added that they were preparing a plan to enter the premises.
