Activities of land grabbers and speculators in Lagos State will soon be criminalized as members of the State House of Assembly as at its plenary on Tuesday, passed a bill which seeks to criminalize what has come to be known as `land grabbing` into Law.
The bill, which was passed after the third reading, prohibits forceful entry and illegal occupation of landed properties; violent and fraudulent conduct in relation to landed properties in Lagos State and for connected purposes and has duly been sent to the Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for his assent.
The Speaker LAHA, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa in his submission stated that the passage of the bill into law will give sanction to any individual who is culpable of the offence.
