A word for Nigerian youth- Shekoni Aremuokin http://www.diplomaticporch.com/2016/08/a-word-for-nigerian-youth-shekoni.html

We are all equal we all deserve a vote, Hausa/Fulani/Igbo/Yoruba,
Muslims and Christians we need to all carry each and everyone along.
We should be our brothers and sisters keeper, and as a democratic Nation we should be more focused on protecting the lives and property of our people we need also to be diplomatic in our dealings with one another.

I'm a true believer in Patriotic Nationalism and I'm going to be always available for you all on Facebook/LinkedIn,BBM and Twitter discuss any National issue and for those of you that want to connect and chat concerning Security/Education and our unemployed Nigerian youths it can always be an avenue of discussion, to foster a great outcome on all issues that needs attention.

I'm promising our young folks that we are going to come up with a big well prepared team to plan our young folks future with a master plan of promoting unity to tap in and make a great use of all opportunities that will be available to us all.

We should remember that we are the future of not only Nigeria alone, but the Africa at large so let's change our footsteps on Developmental goals and take a most reliable productive movement For our young, upcoming fresh graduates in Nigeria,
I will want to also advise us all to not relent in our efforts on trying again and again, not to always rely on the Government alone, because the future of Nigeria as a country is going be on Agriculture and natural resources.

Let us all Join hands and create a network of wholehearted individuals that will be trust worthy and will work for the masses and the people that wouldn't care who gets the credit nor what they get out of what they've spent time in building for the future! Be it infrastructural development or Youth Empowerment.

We only need young future leaders that will work on behalf of the people for the people and by the people of Nigeria for progress, not for political gains or reinstatement.

My doors will always be opened for discussion like I have mentioned above, so whoever picks interest in international collaborations that come along with any progressive idea to pilot a collective job creation chain that will be revisited again and again as a suggestion to require actions on time.

In a recent postulation by Atiku Abubakar, former vice president, says the current economic challenges facing the country and its youth will be surmounted.

In his note to Nigerian youth n the International Youth Day 2016, the former governor-elect of Adamawa state appreciated the resilience of the Nigerian youth and the need to build for the future.

“Two years ago, on the morning of July 19th, while reflecting on the challenges facing our country, especially our youth, I took to social media to share my thoughts at the time,” Atiku said.

“I still have the same convictions today, as I did that day, that our focus for the Nigerian youth must remain jobs, quality education and security. This is a priority.

“As the world comes together to celebrate the International Youth Day, as championed by the United Nations, I see this as an ample opportunity to rise above social ranks, tribe and creed, to harmonise and take decisive action for the betterment of young people everywhere.”

Speaking on the theme of the year’s celebrations, ‘Eradicating Poverty by 2030 through Sustainable Consumption and Production’, Atiku said everyone must learn to give the young ones a chance.

“This year’s theme hinged on eradicating poverty by 2030 through sustainable consumption and production cannot come at a better time. In simple terms, this is giving young people a chance. A word of encouragement, or little motivation.

“This is investing a bit of our time to ensure they are equipped for a fast-paced changing world. It is patronizing that budding entrepreneur, employing that hardworking young person, or advancing critical skills to that intelligent fellow. Today, more than ever, our youths need tools to see and harness the opportunities that abound. This is a generation that cannot afford to wait.

“In the immortal words of Franklin Roosevelt, we cannot always build the future for our youths, but we can build our youth for the future. I believe job creation and education is a good place to start.

“Finally, I celebrate and congratulate Nigerian youths everywhere. Your ingenuity and resilience even in the face of numerous odds are quite remarkable. Don’t let anyone make you feel inferior or powerless. The economic challenges being faced will be surmounted. Your tomorrow begins now; for the sustainable future you want, is built on the bricks of today.”

I pray may it work according to the suggestions made by the turaki Adamawa.
I say a big amen to the prayer. I always read with dismay anything I read on the news on the rate at which Nigerian economy is going. I think we need to fasten oour belt by making things work out as planned by the present administration.
