In what may be described as a highly unusual act, President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, this morning joined the local villagers in fetching water on a bicycle in Kawumu village, Luweero District.

The president did this to mobilize and demonstrate drip irrigation for crops that he planted on a land recently acquired by the government in the area.

It brings to mind when Aisha Buhari, First Lady of Nigeria joined some local women to fry bean cakes (akara), except that this time, the first lay fried the akara with all her jewelry, clothes and make up intact.
