It is good news for Super Eagles midfielder, Fegor Ogude, as his wife Memunat who was abducted by unknown armed men in Warri, Delta state has been freed.

Memunat regained her freedom on Sunday January 10 after spending six days in the kidnappers’ den.

The wife of the midfielder was said to be in company of her children out of the house when she was whisked away by unknown gunmen. The children were not taken along.

According to The Sun, Timi Ebikagboro, who is the Dream Team media officer, also based in Delta state where the incident happened, confirmed the release of the wife of the footballer.


“To God be the glory, the wife of SE player Fegor Ogude, Memunat has been released, she was released minutes ago, and is now with her family,” he wrote on twitter on Sunday night.

There were no details is a ransom was however paid.

Ogude currently plays for Russian club Amkar Perm where he signed a contract until June 2016.
