Ambassador Yahaya Tabari, a former Nigerian envoy to the Central African Republic, is dead.

According to PM News, Tabari died in an auto-crash on Monday night on Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

A close relation to the family, Alhaji Abdurrahman Nuhu-Bayero disclosed in Zaria on Tuesday that the deceased died at the age of 64.

He said Tabari had worked with Nigerian Foreign Mission in several countries including Saudi Arabia, Benin Republic and Central Africa Republic among others.

Nuhu-Bayero said that the funeral prayer for the deceased would hold at his family residence in Rimin-Kambari, Zaria city by 2p.m.

Tabari is survived by a wife, Hajiya Binta and five children.
