A woman is currently crying her eyes out after her baby was taken away from her recently.

She let a stranger hold her baby while she waited in line at a hospital, however, the stranger disappeared with her two-month-old baby.

According to Daily Sun SA, now Mount Road’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit are investigating the case of abduction after the baby’s disappearance at Walmer Township Clinic, in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.

Police spokeswoman Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said the mother was waiting to be helped by nurses at the hospital when the woman offered to hold the baby. The suspect said she needed to change the baby’s nappy.

“The suspect left the clinic with the baby, when no one concentrated n her” said Janse van Rensburg.

The mother made inquiries and was told a woman fitting the description left in a taxi.
