“We got an alert around 2.29pm and by 2.31pm, our men had started arriving from three fire stations. We discovered that the affected place was a warehouse. A lot of empty cartons were destroyed by the fire.

“We, however, prevented the fire from spreading to the fuel reservoir and the place where machines are kept. As we speak, active firefighting operation is ongoing; but we are in control," he said.

The General Manager of LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, said no casualty was recorded. “The swift response of emergency responders saved other buildings and factories in the area. The fire affected the company’s store, destroying cartons as well brand wrappers,” he said.
